Course Description and Course Objectives:

The course focuses on a) history, evolution, growth & development of international business b) reasons for existence of MNCs and their strategies c) Government policies and procedures applicable for Global Business. This course is designed to impart sound knowledge about Global Business operations through lectures, seminars, case studies and Group Discussions to make learning challenging.

    Course Description

    CIA 1: A report on MNC strategies

    Students are supposed to take two MNCs an Indian MNC operating in another country and a foreign MNC operating in India. Understand the various OECD guidelines practiced in these companies, Study the ethical Dilemma, evaluate their competitive strategies, and propose suggestions based on the findings. Prepare a report comparing and contrasting the two MNCs.

    The report is an individual assignment and must be submitted to Google class room.

    Take two MNCs An Indian MNC operating in another country and a foreign MNC operating in India. Examine the factors below and prepare a report comparing and contrasting the two MNCs.

    CIA 3: A Report on Export Promotion Measures

    Students must form groups of 5 each, meet at least 5 entrepreneurs who are into export business, and use a questionnaire to understand the sources of finance, their awareness of export promotion schemes and incentives, concessions and exemptions availed, constraints faced etc. Compile the findings and present them along with findings and suggestions.

    Assignment description

    Students need to make a group of 5 each and meet at least 5 entrepreneurs who are into export business, either meeting them personally or via telecommunication mode. The students need to make a questionnaire that covers the basic information about the company, like Inception and background, nature of business, and area of operation. The other part of the questionnaire must cover the other details on the various sources of finance, awareness of the various export promotion schemes, incentives, concessions, and exemptions that can be availed, and the various constraints faced. A report needs to be prepared listing out various export promotion schemes available in India along with the findings and suggestions and submitted.
