A partnership is a formal arrangement by two or more parties to manage and operate a business and share its profits.
Accounting Treatment using the Accounting Equation¶
We'll use the accounting equation (Assets = Liabilities + Equity) to illustrate the transactions. In a partnership, "Equity" is represented by the partners' capital and current accounts.
